The variation of the NO2 Photolysis Rate is almost entirely dependent on the actinic flux in the wavelengthinterval between 300 and 420 nm. A photoelectric measurement of the actinic flux in this spectral rangeyields a good approximation of photolysis of NO2 [J(NO2)].The
instrument consists of two detectors each covering one hemisphere with a nearly uniform angular response.The two detectors are mounted, in opposite directions, one facing up towards the sky (USE)and one facing down(NOT USE).
